About the role

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join the marketing team here at Elder. You will be a true social media enthusiast that drives the day-to-day ideation, creation, curation and execution of all our social media content and engagement across all our social channels. 

You will develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy and plan to engage, entertain and align the public with Elder’s mission to Reinvent what it means to Age.  We want to take the company from the perception of being a live-in care provider to someone who helps keep families together, reduces stress, and is able to help clear through the opaque nature of arranging care and the support options for when we get older.

You will report into the Senior Brand Manager and work closely with the brand team to increase our brand awareness. You should have excellent multitasking skills to handle all of our social media accounts in a cohesive way. You will apply original creative thought to develop the strategy and innovation of Elder’s social media. 

Growing our overall audience and engagement, while also driving forward Elder’s brand positioning and awareness across key social media channels, most notably: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram. 

Ultimately you should be able to ensure our social channels are aligned and consistent with our brand and marketing strategies. This is a fast-paced environment and a pivotal role, so If you’re self-driven with a desire to create impact and have a creative way of thinking and presenting our brand through multiple social media channels, then we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Creating and developing a social media strategy and plan to increase our brand awareness across all our social media platforms
  • Providing vision and direction for our social media platforms
  • Managing and reporting on all social initiatives across multiple platforms to drive engagement, conversion and positive community behaviour
  • Ensuring all content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
  • Deriving insight from data and working with our established insights and research or commissioning research and reacting to it; adapting content and building new channels as required
  • Creating, managing and editing our social media editorial/content calendar
  • Overseeing customer service to our social communities by closely monitoring and responding to comments and mentions
  • Engaging with our creative and content agencies to deliver highly engaging content required for the successful execution of the social media strategy
  • Publishing and scheduling social content across relevant platforms
  • Managing and coaching the Social Media Marketing Executive; your direct line report

Need to have

  • A self-starter, who truly enjoys working in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous and career-defining environment
  • A proven track record of growing and engaging communities across social media (and in some cases from scratch)
  • Good communication skills - Loves working with people and has an ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the business
  • Adept at managing multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to create actionable strategies and plans
  • Ambitious growth mindset and results-driven
  • A passion for storytelling and an ability to tailor content for different audience types 
  • Experience in creative development and copywriting with outstanding written and verbal skills
  • Proven results of developing successful social media tests to improve performance
  • Demonstrate a strong analytical approach and be able to build innovative and creative solutions
  • Budget management
  • Analytical mind - managing ongoing reporting to give visibility to social media content and metrics
  • Can work under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner
  • Flexible and professional attitude 
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • A sense of humour, tenacity and grace under pressure
