About the role
As Director of Marketing, your role is to be the hands-on leader for our Marketing
function, which is responsible for identifying and attracting the right mix of families
and carers to Elder's platform.
This involves understanding the specific needs and preferences of both groups and effectively communicating Elder's unique value proposition to them.
Reporting into the CPTO and partnering with executive management, third parties and teams across the business you will lead the function and ensure we have the capabilities and experience to drive the Elder brand and our marketing to be best in class by being the voice of our families and carers.
In addition to designing and delivering our Marketing strategy, you will be directly responsible for the outcomes of our cross-functional Find Squad, partnering with one of our Product Managers. This is an exciting opportunity to partner very closely with other leaders across the business and work in a squad-based organisation.
Develop and execute a comprehensive, viable and practical marketing
strategy that aligns with Elder's goals. This includes overseeing brand and
creative strategy, digital and traditional media campaigns, and analytics to
drive brand awareness and family and carer engagement.
Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns utilising various
media types, including social media, paid media, email and SEM. Ensure
these campaigns effectively tell Elder's story, resonate with the target
audience, and achieve desired outcomes in market visibility and family and
Work closely with product development and growth teams to ensure
marketing strategies are aligned with product offerings, growth objectives
and overall marketplace strategy. This involves understanding the nuances of
Elder's platform & technology to create effective marketing messages.
Build, lead, and mentor the Marketing team. Foster a collaborative
environment that encourages innovation and excellence, ensuring team
members are aligned with Elder’s strategic objectives and have the
necessary resources and guidance to succeed.
Continuously assess and optimise marketing strategies based on market
trends, customer feedback, and performance analytics. Stay ahead of
changes in the social care sector, adjusting campaigns and strategies to
maintain market competitiveness and effectiveness.
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders,
including senior management, team members, and external partners or agencies.
- Ensure marketing efforts are transparent and aligned with overall
Oversee the creation of high-quality marketing materials and content that
reflect Elder's brand and values, alongside building a community around
families and carers under the Elder brand. Utilise analytical skills to measure
campaign effectiveness, making data-driven decisions to refine marketing
approaches and improve return on investment.
Multi-years of experience taking part in growing consumer-facing
marketplaces from £10-30M to £50-150M+ in GTV or equivalent. Your
contribution will have been defining and executing multi-channel
growth/marketing strategies driving positive impact on key KPIs such as CAC,
LTV, SOV, NPS, etc
Proficiency in integrated marketing, with a passion for creative storytelling
through multiple media types, both visual and written. Solid experience in
brand and creative strategy, digital and traditional media, including social
media, paid media, SEM, CRM and analytics. Skilled in project and agency
management within sectors related to elder care or similar services.
Experience of bringing new products and services to market. Comfortable
working with sales, finance and other functions to design, model and test new
pricing and propositions including being able to plan and successfully execute
both commercial and marketing initiatives.
Strong understanding and experience in collaborating with product
development or growth marketing teams, especially in platforms or services
related to social care and marketplace technology.
A demonstrated ability to keep up to date with the latest emerging
technologies and approaches especially that will enable more effective
execution of the marketing strategy such as AI.
High agency and adaptability to a dynamic work environment, with an
eagerness to continuously reassess and optimise marketing strategies in the
fast-evolving care sector.
A proactive attitude towards understanding and contributing to Elder's
broader objectives, taking pride in the impact of marketing efforts on the

approach, you have the ability to promote a test, learn and iterate mindset
with clear alignment to long-term strategic goals. The capacity to simplify
complex ideas into impactful, straightforward messages is essential.
A track record of developing and implementing successful, high-impact multi-
channel marketing campaigns.
Comfort in collaborating with both creative and technical teams, with the
versatility to navigate between analytical, technical, and creative skill sets.
Ability to discern what constitutes effective creative work, design, content,
and marketing and articulate why it resonates with the target audience.
