The role
As part of the People Team and reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role leads the way on all things relating to Life at Elder, both in the office and remotely. From ensuring our teams are productive and safe to driving culture and engagement with great quality business forums, internal communication channels, socials, or wellness, this role is the central glue that helps the Elder crew stay connected and bring their best selves to work.
Our brilliant Office and Engagement Manager is going on maternity leave mid-December and we are looking for someone to join us for 7 months, starting on the 27th of November, until c. 30th June 2024.
This role would suit someone who has solid experience of scaling up and running a fast-paced 100+ person office and wants to further develop their skills around remote work. If you’ve already successfully managed this in hybrid mode, even better!
What you’ll be responsible for:
Employee & Leadership Engagement - Contribute to ensuring a great employee experience from onboarding to leaving, supporting everyone along the way and driving continuous improvement based on feedback and research.
Internal Communications & company forums Lead
Key Liaison and Lead for Social, D&I and Well-being committees
Overall Facilities budget - work very closely with IT, Finance and People teams to ensure alignment on budget, facilities matters and equipment
Office management - Facilities, cleaning and supply vendor management;
Health & Safety - Ensure facilities compliance and training for office and remote employees & contribute to the Wellness committee
Support to CEO and Executive Team as needed
Elder Benefits and recognition programmes administration and coordination
New HIre orientation coordination as needed
Need to have
You have bags of enthusiasm and initiative and a faultless eye for detail
You are an experienced Office Manager from a fast-paced company, with a great ability to organise and project-manage, enjoying collaborating with multiple functions.
You thrive working in a fast-paced environment, where you will have a voice and are happy to wear different hats, staying calm in times of pressure
You prioritise high impact work, but never neglect the details
You are comfortable communicating to wide audiences and all levels and you know what it takes to keep people engaged and in the know
You are a genuine people person, and you can flex and adapt your contribution depending on the business needs.
