About the role

The carers are at the heart of everything we do. This role will take end to end ownership of our carer operations and their experience. What does a great carer look like and how do we find them and continue to ensure we partner with the best people?  How do we best recruit, engage, and support the carers on our platform? How do we ensure seamless delivery of care as part of our future managed service? 

We are looking for a great people manager who can combine a focus on people and experience with an analytical and efficient approach. An operations leader who puts the human first.

You will report into the COO and be part of the extended leadership team of Elder

What you’ll be responsible for

  • You will lead our carer leadership team who themselves lead the 20+ people carer recruitment, carer support and carer engagement and quality teams.You will be responsible for the hiring, coaching and development of your leadership team.
  • You will own the budget for carer operations and will be responsible for developing the longer term strategy and resource plan to deliver this 
  • Day to day you will work with your team to ensure the best processes and policies are in place to deliver our strategy 
  • You will lead the Elder carer experience strategic goal, delivering a best in class carer experience for all  carers on our platform by working closely with Marketing, Content, CRM, Product, Engineering, and Insights
  • You will be responsible for the quality of the carers throughout their Elder lifecycle, ensuring that we recruit and retain the best 
  • You will work cross functionally with our customer experience, marketing, product, clinical and other teams to ensure the carer experience is aligned across the business
  • You will be a key part of our leadership team, working collaboratively with peers and colleagues to set an deliver company strategy, identify & fix problems with a ‘sleeves rolled up mindset’ through cross-functional initiatives and model the strongest leadership behaviours  to ensure the continued success of Elder

Need to have

  • Substantial proven track record  years of delivering outstanding results in health and/or care companies, ideally with tech backed operations 
  • 5+ years of leadership experience 
  • An analytical mindset with a data led approach to leading operations
  • Experience of recruiting and leading operational teams, setting strategy, and building robust processes 
  • Experience of managing teams remotely 
  • Ability to translate strategy into results based action 
  • A human focused approach: you are a collaborative leader with strong empathy and EQ
  • Understanding of communications and brand

Nice to have

  • Knowledge or experience of digital health or social care 
  • Coaching/Mentoring qualifications
  • Executive level startup experience
