About the role

The business intelligence team at Elder is a central piece of the business, providing data and insights company-wide. As the company grows, so do the responsibilities and opportunities for BI, hence why we are looking for an ambitious analyst who can help with implementing new BI tools, provide insights and complete data related requests from the business. 

This is an exciting opportunity that would suit someone who is keen to learn and implement in an environment where original thinking and versatility is always appreciated. 

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Collaborating with the wider business to perform data and process analyses 
  • Define requirements and provide simplified explanations
  • Synthesise data and feedback from users, clients, and management
  • Contribute to short and long-term goal setting
  • Develop action plans and aide in accountability
  • Collaborate regularly with various teams
  • Develop and utilise dashboards effectively
  • Develop, analyse, and modify processes, data structures, and models
  • Interact with teams to evaluate data products and performance
  • Make data-driven decisions and recommendations
  • Articulately and concisely explain the implications of complex data

Need to have

  • Previous experience working in analytics or relevant field
  • Solid computer skills, including databases and web-based applications
  • Significant work experience with SQL
  • Significant experience with Tableau or any other data visualization tool
  • A keen eye for details and aptitude for working with data
  • Highly accurate and thorough in all tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mind
  • Proven experience as a collaborative team player
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python/R or any other relevant programming languages
  • Have a professional working knowledge of data warehousing architectures and a mainstream cloud-hosted product
